NFPP will be completing the post on SVT's (Swedish public broadcasting) biggest Christmas production this year. 'The Snapphane Feud', SVT's most expensive production in 10 years, is a classic adventure about freedom, revenge and love set during the Danish fight for independence during the 15th century. The first of two 90 minute episodes will air the 26th of December with the second airing shortly thereafter. The shoot carries through the spring months of march to may, mainly in the forests of Lithuania, but also on a 15th century village set purpose built for the production. The cast includes, amongst others, André Sjöberg, Tuva Novotny, Anders Ekborg and Gustaf Skarsgård. Shot on Super 16, 'The Snapphane Feud' will be digitized using Nordisk Film Post Production's technical scan process, directly to HDCAM SR as well as to DVCAM for offline editing. NFPP's Senior Colourist, Thomas Barkenäs will oversee the grading of both episodes in the Baselight8. Accompanying Thomas will be VFX artist Martin Malm - lead 2d compositor for over 30 key visual effects shots. 'The Snapphane Feud' is produced for SVT by FilmLance International AB, directed by Björn Stein and shot by Linus Sandgren.
