New model for a digital film process. The buzz word in the film industry is digital projection, but 35-mm film print is still the best carrier for world wide distribution of moving images. However, the process has to be modernized and more efficient. The Digital Intermediate (or D.I.) process is the technique of posting film digitally. The obvious advantages of such a process are quality, control and flexibility. Unlike film finishing in a traditional lab sense, the color, contrast and brightness of the image can be controlled separately, allowing for greater image control to create a desired look and there’s no generational loss going straight back to film negative. In a traditional laboratory finishing, the reproduction of film elements to produce the final theatrical release prints can be visually degrading, inconvenient and expensive. Now the gap in the process is closed. Take the advantage of our Cinevator process and go directly to 35- mm print material including sound and subtitles in real-time. At Nordisk Film Post Production, we are constantly developing and modifying Digital intermediate techniques to bring affordable solutions to almost any budget. This new technology have made it possible for even the most modest budgets to take advantage of this exciting new and high quality process. We can help to design a package that works for your production budget and schedule.
