Amsterdam, 9 September 2005: Image processing specialist Pandora International has released details of its first Scandinavian sale of PiXi Revolution, THE software creative colour correction suite for the film and TV industry. The two-suite deal was struck with Nordisk Film Post Production (previously known as Film Teknik), the full service motion picture lab and post house based in Stockholm, Sweden. Based on Pandora’s industry-proven, highly specified hardware colour corrector, the PiXi Revolution will enhance the current feature set of PiXi by encompassing Warping Shape Generation and advanced Mega2 windowing. The installations will then be able to take advantage of other features planned for Revolution such as Resizing, Noise and Grain Processing and Automatic Tracking when available. The first stage of the deal involved a serial 4:4:4 HD conversion of Nordisk Film’s existing PiXis to provide the facility with two multi-channel HD colour correction suites. The second stage will see the addition of Revolution, combining the additional feature sets with the system’s ultra-fast processing capability. Nordisk Film Post Production Stockholm has also taken this opportunity to upgrade both suites to incorporate the Evolution control panels. The first projects to go through the new suites are the Norwegian productions Dream Catcher (Drommefangare/Nordisk Film) and White Trash (Att göra en pudel/Breidablick Film). Nordisk Film Post Production Stockhoilm Managing Director Helena Sandermark Onsum said: ‘This furthermore strengthens our efficiency, service and creativity as we have one of the most modern post production and lab facilities in Europe.’ Pandora technical director Steve Brett said: ‘Throughout it’s 60-year history, Nordisk Film has been a pioneer in film technology. It is also the lab where Ingmar Bergman’s major productions were completed. I am delighted that a facility with such pedigree has chosen to adopt Pandora’s latest technology.’
